Objective:To investigate the prevalence of testicular cancer patients in the Xinjiang region and explore the related factors of the prognosis of cancer patients. Methods: Retrospective analysis144cases of testicular cancer patients which were treated in Xinjiang Tumor Hospital from January2002to October2012, Describe the prevalence and analysis of the relevant factors affecting prognosis of testicular cancer. Results:There were68cases of seminoma patients whose ages were30-50years old, accounting for72.3%of the seminoma. There were38cases of non-seminoma patients whose ages were20-40years old and8cases whose ages were0-9years old, accounting for67.9%and14.3%of the non-seminoma.3years,5-year urvival rates of seminoma were100%n94.7%,and in non-seminoma,they were85.2%、72.2%. Clinical stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ stage Ⅲ of the3-year survival rates were98.5%,95.5%,87.1%,5-year survival rates were98.5%,88.3%,61.6%,. Analysis by Cox proportional regression hazard model suggest that the clinical stage, histological type and ethnic influence the prognosis of testicular germ cell tumors(P<0.05).Conclusions:The people with a higher incidence of seminoma aged30-50years old in Xinjiang while non-seminoma aged0-9years old and20-40years old. There are apparent relationships of ethnicity and side with incidence of testicular cancer. The3-year survival rate after surgery was94.0%,5-year survival rate was86.0%. There are apparent relationships of clinical stage, histological type and ethnicity with prognosis of testicular cancer in Xinjiang. There are a better prognosis in testicular cancer patients of clinical Phase Ⅰ and Phase Ⅱ than that of Phaselll, and there are also a better prognosis in Han than in minority.
