| AIM:The objective is to explore the perinatal maternal health literacy structure, make out the scale which is suitable for the Chinese puerpera, and make an assessment of it’s reliability and validity.METHODS:Using the<maternal and child health literacy------basic knowledge and skills(try out)> promulgated by the ministry of health in2002as the blueprint, taking into account the relevant bibliographics, we make out this scale. The scale is aimed to measure the health condition of the perinatal women and the newborns. We improve the scale based on the two rounds Delphi methods and feedbacks and suggestions from seven experts. And we finally completed the health literacy scale(survey)for perinatal women and the neonatals. By applying the scale, and using the cluster sampling method, we did a questionnaire survey of350perinatal women extracted form three level of first-class hospitals in ChangSha. And we adopted Epidata3.02to build a database for our survey results. Furthermore, we use SPSS19.0and LISREL8.70software by t test, analysis of reaction degree, correlation coefficient method, factor analysis, reliability analysis to screen the scale items. We keep items of maternal health literacy in the perinatal period scale (the beta), to test the internal consistency of scale reliability, content validity, and structure validity.RESULTS:1. We make out the Maternal health literacy in the perinatal period scale (beta),which include34items. The scale can be Divided into basic knowledge and concept, life style and behavior, and basic skills in three dimensions. And the scale performs well after screen in the reaction degree and degree of differentiation.2. The total cronbach’s alpha coefficient is0.819, which means the internal consistency reliability of the scale is good.3. Using the Exploratory factor analysis to extract three common factor, and the cumulative variance contribution rate of34.65%, confirmatory factor analysis model of evaluation index2/df is2.47, RMSEA is0.067, and NFI is0.81, NNFI0.88, CFI is0.88, which means the scale model fits, and the structure validity is acceptable.CONCLUSION:The reliability and validity of the Maternal health literacy in the perinatal period scale is acceptable. Thus the scale can be used as a valid and sensitive tool to be used when we measure the health literacy of the perinatal women. |
