Expression Of ZEB1and Vimentin In Osterosarcoma And Their Signigicances

Objective:To observe the expression of ZEB1and Vimentin both in osteosarcomaand osteochondroma，to analyse and explore the expression of ZEB1and Vimentin，further the relationship between the protein expression and the clinicopathologicalparameters was expounded，and at last，provide theory evidence for invasion andmetastasis of osteosarcoma.Methods:The method of immunohistochemistry (EliVision methods) was used todetect the expression of ZEB1and Vimentin in46cases of osteosarcoma and20casesof osteochondroma,and to analyze its clinical significance.Results:1.ZEB1has positive rate of expression in osteosarcoma is80.4%(37/46),while theosteochondroma is30.0%(6/20). the positive expressive rate of ZEB1in osteosarcomais siginificantly higher than that of osteochondroma,and this difference issiginificant(χ2=15.62，P＜0.05).2.Vimenin has positive rate of expression in osteosarcoma is73.9%(34/46),while theosteochondroma is40.0%(8/20). the positive expressive rate of ZEB1in osteosarcomais siginificantly higher than that of osteochondroma,and this difference issiginificant(χ2=6.93，P＜0.05).3.The positive expression rates of ZEB1had statistical significant difference indifferent Enneking surgieal stage and metastasis in osterosarcoma (P<0.05),while nostatistically significant diffenrence was found in gender,age,pathological type andtumor location (P>0.05). The same results were showed in the positive expressionrates of Vimentin.4.In osteosarcoma, the expression of ZEB1and Vimentin protein waspositive correlation and statistical significant（r=0.456, P=0.001<0.05）. Conclusion:1. The protein of ZEB1and Vimentin was in highly level expressed in osteosarcomaand lower expressed in osteochondroma.2.With the the expressive of ZEB1and Vimentin increased in osteosarcoma,theEnneeking stages also increased. ZEB1and Vimentin higher expressing in metastasisgroup of osteosarcoma.The positive expression of ZEB1and Vimentin werepossibly related with invasion and the degree of malignancy osteosarcoma.3. In osteosarcoma,the expression of ZEB1was positively related with Vimentin.Ttis suggested that the joint detection of ZEB1and Vimentin will be references forprediciting the metastasis and invasion of osteosarcoma.
