ObjectivesTo evaluate the effectiveness of long-range electrocardio-monitoring systembased on the environment of medical association.MethodsThis researeh was Performed in two consecutive phases. The first phase was quantitative study:The Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on200convenient selectedpatients who using long-range electrocardio-monitoring system being resided in onehospital in Zhengzhou. The questionnaire of general information and questionnaireof application effect of long-range electrocardio-monitoring system were used. SPSS(version17.0) was used for statistic description, one-factor analysis and regressionanalysis. The second phase was qualitative research:10health workers and13patients were selected by using purposive purposivesampling according to the phenomenological method, the data were collected bysemi-structured interview and analyzed with seven step analysis of Colaizzi.Results1The results of quantitative study:(1) Totally210patients meeting the inclusion criteria were investigated, only200questionnaires were collected, so the effective collect rate was99.10%. (2)The score of effectiveness of long-range electrocardio-monitoring system was22-96(88.95±8.86), among which the advantage dimensionality“it is more strong ofsense of safety when using the long-range electrocardio-monitoring systemâ€agreedwith most, and the proportion was91%; the shortage dimensionality“it affected mybeauty when using the long-range electrocardio-monitoring systemâ€agreed with most, and the proportion was54%.(3) Used age, gender, education, caregiver, health insurance, income eachmonth to do variance analysis, and the results showed that different age, gender, education, caregiver, health insurance, income each month had different score ofeffectiveness of long-range electrocardio-monitoring system, and the difference wassignificant(P<0.01).(4)Used course of disease, type of diseases, the time of duration to dovariance analysis, and the results showed that different course of disease,he time ofdurationhad different score of effectiveness of long-range electrocardio-monitoringsystem, and the difference was significant(P<0.01).2The results of qualitative research:There were four themes according to the health worker. The first was “advantagefor health workerâ€. The second theme was “advantage for patientsâ€. The third themewas “the shortageâ€. The last theme was “development in the futureâ€.There were three themes according to the health worker. The first was “positiveeffects for patientsâ€. The second theme was “the shortageâ€. The third theme was“development in the futureâ€.ConclusionsThe effectiveness of long-range electrocardio-monitoring system was fine, but itstill has some shortages, and needs to be developed and improved. |
