The Clinical Research For The Treatment Of Acne Vulgar On The Film Forming Solution Of Compound XiangLian

ObjectiveThis study was to observe the clinical effects of the Film Forming Solution of Compound Xianglian, and the effects to the sebum secretion rate in patients with acne vulgar, discuss the possible mechanism of its action in order to provide a theory basis of modern medicine for this drug to treating the acne vulgar, and provide a convenient and effective traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparations for external treatment of acne vulgar.MethodsThis study was in accordance with the "Chinese medicine new medicine clinical research guiding principle", on the basis of the principles of DME, adopted single blind and randomized controlled trial.80cases chosen according to random number table method were divided into two groups:40cases in treatment group (using the Film Forming Solution of Compound Xianglian) and40cases in control group (using Clindamycin Phosphate Gel). All patients were observed and scored to estimate the clinical curative effect of the drug after4weeks for treatment and1month of follow-up. By the way, to observe the effects of the two drugs on the sebum secretion rate, using the sebum directly weight measurement method measured sebum weight before and after treatment for28days, and calculated the rate of sebum secretion.Result1. The comparison of two groups of skin lesions of integral:four weeks after treatment and1month after discontinuation, the lesions integral had significant difference (P<0.05).2.4weeks after treatments (P<0.05) and1month after discontinuation (P<0.05), the lesions subsided rate of the two group all have significant differences.3.4weeks after treatment, the treatment group and control group total’s effective rate were respectively89.47%and79.49%. The two group both have better clinical curative effect, and there is significant variation between them (P<0.05). One month after drug withdrawal, treatment group total effective rate was78.95%, compared with66.67%in the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).4. The comparison of sebum secretion rate (SER) between the two groups before the treatment was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05), while4weeks after treatment was significant difference (P<0.05), and the treatment group before and after treatment was statistically significant difference (t=10.62, P<0.05)Conclusion1. The Film Forming Solution of Compound Xianglian on skin lesions of patients with acne vulgar has good effect;2. After4weeks for treatment and1month of follow-up, the Film Forming Solution of Compound Xianglian has both better clinical curative effect than Clindamycin Phosphate Gel.3. The drug has the obvious inhibitory effect on acne vulgar patients’ sebum secretion, may be it’s a mechanism of action for the treatment of acne.
