Objective:1. To evaluate Left Heart structure and Function in Hypertensive atients with Atrial Fibrillation2. To understand the impact of the length of duration of hypertension and age on atrial fibrillation.Materials and Methods:1.In this paper, collecting a total of220cases of information of healthy people and hospitalized patients,Based JNC7hypertension diagnostic criteria and ACC/AHA/ESC2006guidelines diagnostic criteria for atrial fibrillation (AC Standard),the collected basic data was divided into three group:the68patients (35males,33females)with essential hypertension, normal population group of57patients (30males,27females),95patients (49males,46females) with hypertension and atrial fibrillation, further divided the patients with hypertension and atrial fibrillation: hypertension group of52patients (27males,25females) with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, hypertension with persistent AF group of43patients (22males,21females).2.Cardiac structure and function were assessed by means of echocardiography using GE Vivid7color doppler ultrasound scanner. Results:To compare between the three groups of normal groups, hypertension and hypertension with atrial fibrillation.1. the group of hypertension with atrial fibrillation has the maximum age and longest duration of hypertension,Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure was not statistical differences between hypertension group and the group of hypertension with atrial fibrillation; but both of hypertension group and the group of hypertension with atrial fibrillation has higher than the normal population group (p<0.05).2.Among the three groups, IVSTd, LVPWTd, LVESD, LVEDD, LVM, LVMI LAD value was significantly difference (p<0.05),the group of hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation has largest value; the group of hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation has least in LVEF (p<0.05).To compare between hypertension with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and hypertension with persistent atrial fibrillation.1. the group of hypertension with persistent atrial fibrillation has larger age and; in longer duration of hypertension, between the two groups has not statistical differences in. systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure2. Between the two groups IVSTd, LVPWTd, LVESD, LVEDD LVM, LVMI value has Statistical difference(p<0.05).the group of hypertension with persistent atrial fibrillation has larger value; while the group of hypertension with persistent atrial fibrillation has Smaller value in LVEF(p<0.05).3. LAD, LAVvalue was statistical difference between the two groups (p<0.05).Conclusion:1. To compared to the normal population, the left ventricular function and structure of hypertension patients and hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation has changed; this change has more apparently in hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation.2.Left ventricular remodeling that induced hypertension is a risk factor for hypertension in patients with atrial fibrillation.3.Atrial fibrillation was correlated with the patient’s age and the duration of hypertension.
