| This article comprehensively, systematically reviewed the research progress related to occupation burnout and medical errors of domestic and foreign doctors. Taking the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University as an example,300doctors was randomly selected as research subjects, we attempt to describe the characteristics and the factors of occupation burnout of doctor of Hospital of Fujian province. We compare the doctors who have medical erros with doctors’who don’t and analyse different types of errors between doctors to probe the correlation between occupation burnout of doctors and medical malpractices to find out the reasons and put forward some proposals to improve the situation of occupation burnout of clinicians, explore scientific ways to reduce medical malpractices, ensure the quality of the health service, promote the sustainable development of the health service and enhance the level of our national public health management.With the development of modern medicine science and the medical system reform continuously thorough, doctors become a group which present high technology, high risk, high pressure. The heavy workload and career pressure in the work, life and study result in doctor becoming a population group vulnerable to profession burnout.Alhough doctors and hospital administrators strenuously improve patient safety to reduce the currency of medical accidents, medical error is still a common cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with.The doctor as the health service providers, directly contact with the patient, bearing huge pressure make themselves susceptible to occupation burnout, this point has been confirmed by many scholars at home and abroad. And medical errors is a mistake that doctor make during the process of diagnosis and treatment but do not result in serious consequences. Except related to their health development, while job burnout of medical staff is closely related to medical errors, experts and scholars at home and abroad lack systematically research on it. In order to study the present condition as soon as possible, this article will conduct a comprehensive review and systematic research on the relationship between job burnout and medical errors. This topic is divided into two stages:the first stage, we selected300doctors randomly from the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University as the research objects, conducting a cross-sectional survey for determining the correlation between occupation burnout and medical errors in2013June. The survey was carried out by trained inspectors, adapt same investigation method, questionnaire centralized distributed, fill out in separate or not, unified recovery, self-made general questionnaires wrer applicated, job burnout scale MBI-GS, self provided medical errors questionnaire for doctors to fill out and accept in-depth individual interviews. The investigation includes basic demographic situation, self assessment of occupation burnout, medical errors, data were analyzed by SPSS Version19.0and assessed by using Student’sunpaired t-test, analysis of variance and multiple linear regression analysis method. Probability values of less than0.05were considered significant. We select231doctors who did not make medical errors in the first stage as research object for prospectively study, aimming to follow-up and observe the occurrence of medical errors made by these research subjects’, data were analyzed by SPSS19.0,assessed by categorical variable data of multiple logistic regression analysis method.The study shows that the current level of occupation burnout of doctor is high, and closely related to medical errors, income and family debt situation and staying up late to work. The currency of medical errors is closely related to the score of three dimensions of occupation burnout. Effective steps are needed to take to improve the present situation of occupation burnout of doctor and effective measures and how to manage and support the doctors who have medical errors sysmatically in order to obtain better social benefits. |
