Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of low dose CT perfusion imaging of brain.Materials and Methods: Twenty New Zealand white rabbits underwent cerebralCT perfusion imaging twice with tube voltage70kV and tube voltage80kV, and the checkinterval is24h. The effective dosage (E)ã€cerebral perfusion parameters (CBFã€CBVã€MTT)and image quality indicator (SNR) of middle cerebral artery of each protocol wereacquired and compared statistically. Results: The effective dosage of70kV group and80kV group were1.91and2.93mSv, the effective dosage of70kV group reduced for34.8%as compared with that of80kV. There were no significant differences between the cerebral perfusion parametersacquired at different corresponding ROI. SNR of70kV group and80kV group were(23.15±5.98) and (21.23±9.18), there were not significant. Conclusion: The effective dosage of70kV cerebral CT perfusion imaging could bedramatically reduced and the results of perfusion parameters and image quality were aboutthe same. Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of low concentration and low dose iodinecontrast agent in CT perfusion imaging of rabbit brain.Materials and Methods: Fifteen New Zealand white rabbits underwent cerebral CTperfusion imaging three times with protocol A(Ultravist:350mgI/ml, total dose:9ml);protocol B(Ultravist:350mgI/ml, total dose:6ml); protocol C(Ultravist:270mgI/ml, totaldose:6ml), and the flaw rate is1.5ml/s, the check interval is24h. The cerebral perfusionparameters (CBFã€CBVã€MTT) and image quality indicator (mean CT values and SNR) ofmiddle cerebral artery at peak time of each protocol were acquired and comparedstatistically. Results: There were no significant differences between the cerebral perfusionparameters acquired at different corresponding ROI. Mean CT values of middle cerebralartery at peak time of three groups were (439.83±37.86)ã€ï¼ˆ421.33±30.58)ã€ï¼ˆ408.67±23.89)HU and SNR were (17.89±5.89)ã€ï¼ˆ16.59±4.71)ã€ï¼ˆ17.08±3.77), therewere not significant. Conclusion: It is indicated that the application of low concentration and low doseiodine contrast agent can reduce iodine load, while the results of perfusion parameters andimage quality were about the same. |
