The cephalometry of X-ray film is very important to the study of stomatology, whichhas advantage of easy to get, lower cost, higher accuracy, better repeatability and so on, soit is very popular in orthodontics. Processing in traditional manual cephalometry is verycomplicated and has higher required on the operator, and on the other hand, has pooraccuracy and repeatability. We designed a software for cephalometry in this paper, whichinput the x-ray into computer and help the doctor to analysis the patients’ cephalometrywith the information of the patients’ photos.The registration of X-ray film and photos is very important in this paper, becausewhen doctor analysis the cephalometry, some special project needs the information fromboth X-ray film and photos. In this paper we choose the algorithm of manual select controlpoint pairs after have tried many kinds of registration algorithm. The core function of thissystem we designed in this paper is to achieve the cephalometry algorithm, which iscomposed by some projects to compute the particular angle or distance of particular points.The system allows the doctor to define special algorithm, which is very convenient to thedoctor to study. The results of many experiments on the patient show that this system wedesigned is efficient and the accuracy is satisfied the request of the doctor to study. |
