Objective To investigate the effects of altered deceleration capacity of heart rate andheart rate deceleration runs on the prognosis of patients with acute myocardialinfarction (AMI).Methods115patients confirmed with AMI as AMI group,50normal people wereselected as control group. The deceleration capacity of heart rate and heart ratedeceleration runs were detected by the24hours Holter, all the patients were dividedinto high risk group, medium risk group and low risk group through the Holter results.Compare the risk of the AMI group with the control group. Moreover the clinicalinformation and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were recorded. Meanwhilethe AMI patients were followed up for mean6-10(8.9±1.8)months. Observe thepresence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). All AMI patients wereclassified into MACE and non-MACE groups according to the presence of MACE.Analysis the risk factors of MACE.Results AMI group had a significant increase risk but decrease in decelerationcapacity of heart rate (P<0.05) as compared with the control group. In MACE group, the rate of high risk was significant increasing(P=0.005), but the rate of low risk wassignificant decreasing(P=0.032). The Logistic regression analysis showed that highrisk group and LVEF were risk factors on presence of MACE. Low risk groupprobably was a protecting factor. Conclusion The capacity of heart rate was significantly weakened in AMI patients. The significantly decreased deceleration capacity of heart rate was a risk factor ofMACE. Deceleration capacity of heart rate and heart rate deceleration runs mighthave a favorable clinical reference value in evaluating the prognosis of AMI patients.
