Eupolyphaga is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine with complicatedchemical components and extensive medical use. Lots of data indicate epolyphaga hasvarious medical function in ant-tumor, stasis syndrome, relief of swelling and painet.al. The development of modern Chinese medical technology and promotion ofstudy in epolyphaga have accelerated the pharmacological effects of epolyphaga.Thus this conventional medicine has been widely used in clinical applications and asan important preventive treatment, epolyphaga has opened the way to extend thefunction of Chinese medicine and further development of human healthy at anunprecedented scale and speed.Realizing the increasing incidence of atherosis, CHD, cardiovascular andcerebrovascular diseases may be caused by hyperlipidemia. Scientists gradually paymore attention to its pathogeny and diagnostic approach. The medical animal model, agood way to study modern medicine, has been highly applied to such mechanism ofmedicine and research. Hyperlipidemia is one of the common symptoms and causesby fat operation or metabolic disorder. The recent facility which is based onpathogenesis and healing mechanism of hyperlipidemia has been designed with singleand multiple factors. Lots of data indicate hyperlipidemia relates to complicatedphysiologic pathology.This study focuses on the response of rabbit and build a model both servehyperlipidemia and medical prevention. The experiment lasts for40days and dividethe rabbits into five groups: high-fat group, blank group, the high, medium and lowdosage of medicine injection groups. The prevention groups were treated withepolyphaga mixed feed (0.4g/kgã€0.2g/kgã€0.1g/kg)for40days. By testing theconcentration of blood-lipoids (TC, TG, LDL-C HDL-C) and quantifying theexpression of ApoE and LDL-R genes through RT-PCR we study the medicalmechanism of epolyphaga.Results of the experiment:1.The blood liquid level of the model rabbits changed in the process of the experiment,as it shows higher level of TCã€TGã€LDL-C in serum while lower of HDL-C.The model rabbits come to steady state after30days, as the blood liquid levelremained unchanged. Then significant difference showed up between the model groupand the bland group in terms of blood liquid leve(lP<0.05),which proved that, high fat diet will increase the blood liquid level and the experiment succeed.2.That difference between the drug group and the model group is significant whilethat between the drug group and the bland group is not significant(P<0.05), whichproved that the drug effectively prevent the raise of blood liquid level. Therefore,epolyphaga powder can regulate the level of blood liquid and it can prevent rabbitsfrom the raising of blood liquid level.3.The expression of gene ApoE in the liver of model rabbits increased in thepreliminary stage of the experiment and then went down after around30days, whichis similar to the bland group. While for the drug group, the expression of ApoE grewin the beginning and then remained balance in a relatively high level. The higher dosegroup got highest level of expression (0.4g/kg), then the medium dose group (0.2g/kg)and the lower dose group became the last (0.1g/kg).4.The expression quantity of LDL-R in the liver of model rabbits increased in thepreliminary stage and then went down after30-35days, which can be explained thatthe expression of the gene has no respond to the change of blood liquid level. Whilefor the drug group, the expression quantity grew first and then remained balance in arelatively high level. Data revealed that the higher the dose of the drug,the better thepreventive effect. |
