Objective: To explore the effect of the different abstinence time on laboratory indicatorsand clinical outcome in IVF-ET.Methods: From Jun.2011to Jul.2013,a total of160infertile couples (160cycles)with tubalfactor infertile undergoing IVF-ET were included in this study. They wererandomly divied into four groups(2-3d、4-5d、6-7d、>7d),according to thedifferent abstinence time. Each group included40patients.The four groups’spermatozoa quality were checked and compared respectively before and aftersperm selection. The fertilization rate of MⅡoocytes, the normal fertilizationrate, the normal cleavage rate, the embryo utilization rate, the high qualityembryo rate, the clinical pregnancy rate, the implantation rate and thespontaneous abortion rate were evaluated among the four groups.Results:(1)With prolonged abstinence time, there was positive influence on semenvolume, sperm concentration (P<0.001) and negative influence on spermmotility, ratio of progressive motility sperm and normal morphology(P<0.001).After being optimized by spermatozoa selection technology, spermconcentration, motility ratio of progressive motility, normal morphology werepromoted greatly(P<0.05, P<0.001()2)There were no significant differences inall these laboratory indicators and the clinical outcome among the four groups(P>0.05,respectively)Conclusion: The different abstinence time in IVF-ET has no influence on early embryonicdevelopment and clinical outcomes of the patients.
