Nutrition drugs are the drug, which are not only the nutrient but also are used inthe adjuvant therapy in clinical medicine. Nutrient refers to the chemical compositionsof foods, which provide energy, constitute the body and tissue repair and regulatingphysiological function. The essential nutrients of body are six categories, includingprotein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamins, inorganic salts (minerals) and water. In people’sdaily life, daily nutrient intake is in order to maintain normal body functions. Inclinical treatment, nutrients can be used as a drug. Depending on the purpose and useof drugs, they can be divided into enteral nutrition drugs, parenteral nutrition drugs(intravenous nutrition formulations) and other nutrition drugs. Enteral nutrition drugsare mainly used in the relaxation of food which are digested and absorbed through thegastrointestinal tract; parenteral nutrition drugs are mainly used in the nutritionalsupport of patients who can’t absorb, digest and absorb food through thegastrointestinal tract; other nutrition drugs are vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Dueto extensive use of nutrition drugs, less drug side effects and more concerning about nutrition and health, the amount of nutrition drugs have increased rapidly, prices haverisen up, even the abuse and adverse reactions have emerged in many hospitals inrecent years. In order to understand the status of the use of nutrition drugs, prevent the nutritiondrugs abuse, so we investigate the use of a hospital of nutrition drugs and analyze theefficiency in the use of these drugs. It provides not only the choice of nutrition drugsuse for doctors, patients and hospital administrators but also the basis for China’sEssential Drug List modify. Objective:Study on the nutrition drugs use of the third level of first-class hospital throughanalyzing the prescriptions of2012.Methods:Analyze the prescriptions of2012through the retrospective approach, analyze theproportion of nutrition drugs in drug costs in the hospital; quantity, amount and DDDsorder of various nutrition drugs; the situation of using nutrition drugs in differenthospital departments; adverse reactions caused by drugs by Microsoft Excel2007andSPSS16.0.Results:1. The ratio of nutrition drugs accounts for20.04%, ranking first;2. The use of parenteral nutrition drugs is the largest;3. The use of enteral nutrition emulsion (TP) is the largest;4. The use of glucose injection is the largest in the parenteral nutrition drugs;5. The largest amount of drug use in other nutrition drugs is folic acid tablets;6. Nutrition drugs are mainly applied in the neurosurgery;7. The application of nutrition drugs age range from the young to the old. Male tofemale ratio is about1:1; 8. The patients who use nutrition drugs cost less money and hospitalization timethan those who do not use drugs nutrition;9. Adverse reactions emerge in patients who use nutrition drugs.Conclusion:1. Nutrition drugs have been widely used in clinical;2. Parenteral nutrition drugs have high frequency of use;3. The use of enteral nutrition emulsion (TP) is the largest in the enteral nutritiondrugs, the amount of the maximum amount ranks first and DDDs ranks first. That is to say, this drug has high frequency of use;4. The use of glucose injection is the largest in the parenteral nutrition drugs. It iswidely used in clinic. The composite potassium phosphate injection (2ml)DDDS ranks first, indicating that the high frequency of drug use. The amountof18kinds of amino acid injection (5%) ranks first, but its DDDs ranksfourth. The utilization rate of18kinds of amino acid injection (5%) isrelatively low to reduce the economic burden of patients;5. Folic acid tablets have high frequency of use in other nutrition drugs;6. Nutrition drugs are mainly applied in the neurosurgery. It dues to the specialnature of the patient in the neurosurgery;7. Nutrition drugs do not distinguish gender and age, just according to thedisease and physical condition;8. To shorten the stay length of hospital, to faster recovery and medical expensesalso decreased significantly by using nutritional drugs than do not use thesedrugs;9. Try to avoid adverse reactions in patients.
