A series of physiological changes of the astronauts, such as bone loss, cardiovascular dysfunction, immune suppression, caused by the disappearance of thegravity in space environment, have been concerned by the scientists. In recent years, the space cell culture system has made some progress, whichprovided the technology platform for space cell culture. There have been some studiesabout how cells sense gravity signals and signal transduction, however, it should beimproved in that how to control the cell culture process parameters strictly, how toseparate the effect on the cells caused by gravity or by other mechanical environmentssuch as shear stress. In this paper, we studies the process of space bioreactors, discussesthe key technologies and the development direction of the space cell biomechanicsexperimental platform, and try to lay the foundation to overcome the technologicalbottlenecks of space cell biomechanics experiment. The control of fluid environment is the most important thing to standardize themechanical environment in the process of cell culture.Peristaltic pump and injectionpump which can be individually sterilized is the preference of culture fluid transmissioncontrol. In this paper, we develop the fluid control module for flow chamberexperimental platform, temperature and pH monitoring module for experimentationsatellites, and online microscopical observation module to meet the need for recoverablesatellite cell experiment system. The results of this study proved the effectiveness and feasibility of parameterscontrol method in the cell culture process, which provides a proof of principle andtechnical support for the space cell biomechanics experiments platform, promotes themodular and standardized development of experimental platform for space cellbiomechanics, and provides the methodological foundation to research the responsemechanism of cell on the gravity change.
