With the accelerated speed of the aging population in china and the high living pressurebrought by social development. As a result, more and more people are in a sub-health state,many of them have chronic diseases. The incidence of heart disease and cardiovasculardisease has increased sharply. The data reveals that among the total number of deaths eachyear, there are24.7%died of a heart attack or cardiovascular disease, and the number isincreasing year by year. Therefore,it is very important to monitor ECG signals of patientswith heart disease or cardiovascular disease-prone groups.The current treatment of heart disease can only rely on regularly checking in the hospital,with non-networked collecting24hours of ECG data sent to doctor for diagnosing andsending ECG data in real time with GPRS network. The first two approaches has a badperformance in real time requirement, and the third way has a high cost in paying a high costin paying network data. We can not effectively encrypt the data with the methods mentionedabove. So we need a easy to operate, low cost, good scalability and reliable encryptionmethod. ZigBee as a new short-range communication technology, which has advantages ofshort distance, low power, low-rate, low complexity, etc. The technology is very suitable forthe establishment of a network of medical monitoring in the community.We design a system that uses TI/Chipcon’s2.4GHz IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee system on chipand CC2430/CC2431as data transmission and processing chips. The system has processeddata collection,filtering and amplification via HKD-10A ECG acquisition module. The ECGdata is processed and wirelessly transmitted and the data is quickly and accurately transmittedto the coordinator through ZigBee router nodes. The coordinator has sent the ECG data to thesoftware which is responsible for collecting the ECG data. The data is stored in SQL2005database. Subsequent data processing is processed in doctor workstation software, and thedoctors analyze the process the data. The results stored in the database. The server and clientsoftware can select the contents of needed services, such as regular visits to patient’s condition.The system can real-time monitor the patient’s ECG data. And the system has a series ofgood performances, such as good stability, easy to expand, low cost, good security. The paper has described the planning of this equipment. The system is expected to meet the designrequirements and it has some clinical value.
