Theoretical Interpretation Of The "Chill And Fever" Controversy In Chinese Medicine Surgery And Clinical Efficacy Research For The Treatment Of Erysipelas Of Lower Limb With Wentong Method

Objectives: This thesis discusses the evolution of―chill and fever‖view andthe interpretation of―chill and fever‖dispute in the category of Chinese medicinesurgery, so this way aims that deepens the understanding to the theory ofthe traditional Chinese medicine surgery. Combine with the clinical practice ofWenTong treatments for erysipelas of lower limbs, this aims that expands to thetreatments of infectious disease in the surgery of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: By means of studying the―chill and fever‖views in the surgery oftraditional Chinese medicine literature, shows the evolution of―chill and fever‖viewsin the category of Chinese medicine surgery. At the same time, combine withcorrelation analysis that unite text origin, the rhetorical devices, classical definitionand the surgery of traditional Chinese medicine, and form the understanding of―chilland fever‖dispute in the category of Chinese medicine surgery. Through the clinicalassessment of the efficacy and safety of WenTong treatments for erysipelas of lowerlimbs, practicing the clinical application of interpretation of―chill and fever‖disputein the category of Chinese medicine surgery.Results: The academic point of traditional Chinese medicine surgery presentsthe evolution that from valuing―chill‖to valuing―fever‖. The―chill‖is thepredominant view before the Southern Song and the Northern Song. But after theSouthern Song and the Northern Song, the―fever‖view is being thriving graduallyeven influence today. Valuing―chill‖stresses the origin of disease, and valuing―fever‖stresses the transformation of pathogenesis.―Chill‖and―fever‖is notcontradictory and fragmented, but the interdependent and transformational; thegeneral perception of the "chill" is the key to unite the theories. On the basis ofunderstanding―chill and fever‖, using WenTong method treating erysipelas of lowerlimbs shows the favorable clinical prospects in comprehensive curative effect, untoward effect, and recurrence rate aspects.Conclusion: The―chill and fever‖dispute can get interpreting based on theunderstanding―chill and fever‖traditional Chinese medicine surgery theories. On thebasis of understanding―chill and fever‖traditional Chinese medicine surgery theoriescorrectly, WenTong method is safe and effective in today’s clinical practice oftraditional Chinese medicine surgery, which has enriched the clinical treatment ofinfectious diseases in traditional Chinese medicine surgery.
