Clinical Analysis Of Laparoscopic Surgery And Puncture Sclerotherapy For Simple Renal Cysts

【Objective】By comparing patients age, size of the cyst, the recurrence rate withretroperitoneal laparoscopic decortication treatment of simple renal cysts and Bultrasound-guided puncture sclerotherapy treatment of simple renal cysts in AffiliatedHospital of Qinghai University, so as to provide reference for the clinical treatmentoptions.【Methods】We collected63patients of simple renal cysts which treatment inAffiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from January2011to October2012. Thosepatients include retroperitoneal laparoscopic decortication (laparoscopic group)treatment of23cases and40cases of B ultrasound-guided puncture sclerotherapy(puncture group).In laparoscopic group, there were11males and12females, the agerange between48to72years old, the average age of58.2years old,the cystmaximum diameter line between4.8to11.0cm, the average diameter was7.1cm.Inpuncture group, there were21males and19females, the age range between40to81years old, the average age of65.2years old,the cyst maximum diameter line between5.5to10.8cm, the average diameter was7.3cm. Compared two groups of patientswith age, size of the cyst, recurrence rate. We use statistical software for data analysis,inspection level a=0.05.【Result】Patients of both groups were successfully treated. Average age of patientsof the puncture group was higher than that of laparoscopic group (p<0.05).Size ofcysts between the two treatments was no statistically different (p>0.05). Thelaparoscopic operation recurrence rate was significantly lower than the puncturesclerotherapy (p<0.05). In the puncture group incidence of recurrence in the patientswith the cysts diameter>7cm was significantly higher than that in the patients withthe cysts diameter <7cm (p<0.05). 【Conclusion】Retroperitoneal laparoscopic unroofing the decompression and Bultrasound-guided puncture sclerotherapy are effective modality for the treatment ofsimple renal cysts. But retroperitoneal laparoscopic unroofing the decompressiontreatment is better than B ultrasound-guided puncture sclerotherapy. Theultrasound-guided puncture sclerotherapy treatment has a wide range of age, and theelderly patients are easy to accept this treatment. This method can be used as the mostcommon treatment for simple renal cysts. When this method failure, retroperitoneallaparoscopic renal cyst unroofing decompression can be used as alternative treatment.
