| Objective Dectect the expression of Tumor Endothelial Markerl (TEM1) mRNA in tumor and corresponding paratumor tissue of NSCLC, supposed the effect of TEM1on tumor metastasis. Investigate the role of TEM1as a therapeutic target in human endothelial cells. Methods The mRNA expression levels of TEM1in tumor and corresponding paratumor tissue of NSCLC in56cases were detected by reverse quantitative transcription polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR). And analyze statistical significances of its expression in different groups with the clinical features of the tumor. Results Analysis of56arrayed grade â… -â…¢ NSCLC demonstrated TEM1expression in all tissues. There was a significant difference levels of TEM1mRNA between the tumor tissue and corresponding paratumor tissue. The level of TEM1was more higher in carcinoma than in paratumor tissue (1.3380±0.2367vs0.9012±0.1498),(t=2.358, P=0.022<0.05). TEM1expression was correlated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (t was6.571ã€6.148respectively, P<0.05), but there was no significant relationship between the levels of TEM1mRNA with the histological type and patient’s gender (t was2.380.0.758respectively, P>0.05).Conclusion The expression level of TEM1is correlated to clinical stage in NSCLC. It’s possibly a valuable molecular marker involved in NSCLC invasion and metastasis. TEM1expression profile in NSCLC support efforts to therapeutically target this protein, might be a potential target for gene therapy of malignant tumors. |
