In this study, marginal benefits of nine traits of three characters and economic weights of these were calculated based on performance of production traits of Chinese Simmental Beef Cattle, parameters of cattle breeding, parameters of cattle nutrition, and economics parameters of market. ZPLAN software(version 2008.) is implemented to analyses breeding program of Chinese Simmental Beef Cattle, and to estimate breeding improvement of Chinese Simmental Beef Cattle. Moreover, the optimized breeding scheme is determined based on the results of ZPLAN analyses. Finally, we simulated and compared breeding improvement of three different methods, which are progeny test breeding programs, young bull breeding programs, and genomic selection. Major conclusions obtained as follows:1.Calculation formula of target traits are constructed based on balance method, result in marginal benefit value of weaning weight, average daily gain, 18 th month weight, carcass quality, dressing percentage, pure meat percentage, age at first calving, calving interval, and stay group time are 17.93 yuan / kg, 16.2 yuan / kg, 7.17 yuan / kg, 297.99 yuan /grade, 497.82 yuan /%, 594.46 yuan /%,-3.62 yuan /d,-26.55 yuan /d, 232.75 yuan/y, respectively. Among these, marginal benefits of age at first calving and calving interval are negative, indicating reduction of these traits could increase economic benefits.2.Economic weights of growth and development traits, carcass weight, and reproduction traits are 31.49%, 15.86%, 52.65%, respectively. Notably, reproduction traits take large proportion of economic weight in all target traits, suggesting reproduction trait is most important trait in Chinese Simmental Beef Cattle.3.Compared with three different breeding schemes, we concluded genomic selection breeding program cut down on calving internal on average of 2.26 years and 1.39 years than progeny test breeding program and young bull breeding program.4.In terms of breeding improvement, genomic selection program higher 29.9% and 42.2% than progeny test breeding and young bull breeding, respectively; and in terms of breeding benefit, higher 109.2% and 86.6%, respectively. Genomic selection breeding program could obtain more integrated breeding value and breeding improment.5.Three kinds of breeding scheme respectively are 16600 yuan,17700 yuan and 14000 yuan in terms of the cost of breeding for realizing unit breeding improvement. Genomic selection breeding program has a large advantage relative to progeny test breeding program and young bull breeding program.
