Zearalenone (Zearalenone, referred ZEN) is a kind of mycotoxin generated by Fusariu m strains. It widely exists in the feed and corn,highly polluting wheat,barley,oats,and rice. C urrently,academic research focused reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity,cytotoxicity, genot oxicity,tumor promoters,promote tumors and so on.Oxidative stress is an important way of Z EN toxicity. Oxidative stress is a physiological state of tissue damage when the body accept s a variety of harmful stimuli,which can cause the body produce too much highly reactive mo lecules (such as reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen free radicals),so that the balanc e between pro-oxidant and antioxidant has to be broken.Endoplasmic reticulum stress may ap pear when oxidative stress occurs.Endoplasmic reticulum stress refers to a pathological state that subcellular organelles end oplasmic reticulum homeostasis disorders occur. Its essence is excessive accumulation of th e endoplasmic reticulum unfolded or misfolded proteins,so as to activate some adaptive signa 1 transduction pathway as the stress response.The sign of endoplasmic reticulum stress is up-regulation of immunoglobulin-bindin g protein (BiP) and X box binding protein 1 (XBP-1). Meanwhile,pro-apoptotic molecule sue h as CHOP,and caspase-12,pro-survival molecule such as GADD34 present expression or ac tivation. Whether ER stress occurs can be judged by these substance’s expression or activatio n.We know that there are three signaling pathway causing endoplasmic reticulum stress,whic h is maked by PERK, IRE-1, ATF6. By changes of these three substances’expression can dete rmine which pathway cause ER stress.
