Master Planning For National Forest City Of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province

Serves as an important support and protection for urban ecological environment, urban forest play an irreplaceable role in improving the city environment, strengthen people’s physical and mental health, optimizing ecology pattern, balancing urban and rural development, advancing sustainable development of urbanization. As people pay more and more attention to the habitation, Forest City is not only a response to the ecological civilization construction, but also as an important measurement agree with the national initiate of building "Wild China". By drawing on foreign advanced philosophies and experience, this article analyzed the basic overview and ecological environment of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, as well as the early achievements, problems and challenges of the city on conduction of urban forestry. Combining with the overall urban planning layout of Changzhou, we study the master planning for National Forest City of Changzhou.According to the demanding for urban forestry development and characteristics of Changzhou city, we put forward the concept of "building a greenery Changzhou with forest and water surrounded, building a livable Piling with a lot of green corridors interweaving. The planning aiming to prominent geographical features as a water region, construct ecological green corridor network, and highlight the historical culture of Changzhou. The principle is established by the view of ecological, scientific and humanistic, which refers to eco-priority, learning from nature, human-oriented, harmony and livable, regional coordinated, and integration optimization, etc. Compared with the National Forest City Construction index, we choose the fittest ones as the indicators of the planning, which match the condition of this city.There are a core, two hubs, nine poles, seven blocks, multi-gallery and multi-point as the structure of urban forest layout to construct the urban forest system, the details of which are green corridors construction, forest protection and promotion, water source protective afforestation and biodiversity conservation, etc. At the same time, in order to achieve good ecological environment and national ecological civilization, forest tourism and other forestry industry, ecological culture construction are also considered.Finally, analyze the results of Forest City construction planning of Changzhou City in ecological, economic and social evaluation. And discuss the current situation and development trend of domestic issues of forest city construction.
