High quality chicken because of its beautiful appearance, sweet-meated by the favor of consumers. Shank color as an important phenotypic shape quality of chicken, its market in chickens or ice fresh products occupy an important position. This study in different shank color high quality chicken HS2 department as test materials, comparing different shank color quality chicken 2-10 weeks of production performance and slaughter indexes of 90 days of age, and PCR product direct sequencing method tests and melanin pigment deposition genes-cortisol receptor 1 (MC1R) gene in three different shank color (green tibia, yellow tibial and pea green to bake with the tibia) HS2 genetic variation in the group, to analyze its relevance to shank color, the main results were as follows:1. Three different shank color quality of chicken in each growth point (56 d,14 d,28 d and 70 d), and there is no difference between daily gain, the cock growth is significantly higher than the hen.2. Three different shank color quality chicken slaughter rate, half eviscerated ratio, the net rate of chamber, chest muscle rate and leg muscle rate differences were not significant, but the slaughter rate more than 80%, full chamber net rate is around 60%, meat performance good; In addition, in addition to slaughter rate and the rate of chest muscle, the cock of live body weight, half eviscerated ratio, eviscerated rate and leg muscle rate were all significantly higher than the hens (P< 0.01).3. Three shank color quality chicken there is no difference between color brightness (L value), but the yellow band and pea green to bake with shank chicken flesh than green shank chicken more yellow (b value), reached the significant level (P< 0.05), while green shin chicken meat significantly red (a) in the pea green to bake with shank chicken (P< 0.05); The hen marked yellow color in the cock (P< 0.05), but in there is no significant difference between degree of brightness and red.4. In three different shank color quality chickens MC1R gene found in seven SNPs loci, genetic pure degree among shank color chicken (Ho) is higher, low genetic heterozygosity (Ne), and the green shin and pea green to bake with shank peptide information content is relatively rich in chickens. Different genotypes in the distribution of the three shank color is obvious differences, homozygous genotype frequency was significantly higher than in pea green to bake with shank chicken heterozygous genotype. Seven SNPS loci can build altogether 35 species of haploid type, including H1 and H35 haploid type frequency is the largest,21.10% and 56.22% respectively, the formation of 24 kinds of haploid type combination, including H20H20 type in groups, the largest proportion of mainly distributed in the yellow band and pea green to bake with shank chicken, followed by HI H1 type, are mainly distributed in the green band of chicken.Based on the research results show that the three different shank color of chicken does not exist significant differences in growth and development, and both had good meat performance. MC1R gene type and haploid type distribution in different shank color phenotype chicken, there are significant differences in production based on the different combination of haploid type select and remain in the early years of the target band of color group.
