| The genus Primula usually are called Primrose for short. Primrose is a famous alpine flower, which has rich color and blooms in earl)’spring. There are about 500 species in genus Primula.distributing widely over the world.China is the modern distribution center due to owning 300 specieses. Many forgien counties begun introducing Primula from China in nineteenth Century.they have bred many fine horticulture varieties nowdays.However, our research are falling behind, restricting to P. sinensis, P.-vulgaris. According to the report,Sichuan Province has 117 species.so it is the modem diversification center. In recent years, human damage to the environment and earthquakes destroy the habits of Primula. Therefore, investigation, collection and evaluation of resources work is imminent. In order to find out the distribution and survival of Primula, based on related documents and specimens, a field surney was carried out in Sichuan Province. Places for investigation include Dujiangyan, Baoxing. Kangding, xiaojin,litang and Sichuan-Yunnan borderlands. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to evaluating the collected wild resources. P. polyneura and P.sikkimensis were chosen for further research including the biological characters of seed germination and cultivation technology.The main conclusions are as follows:1.During two years field survey in Sichuan Province,26 Primula species(including sub-species and varieties) belonging to 12 groups were located, account 40% of the species were collected in Kangding, so Kangding is an important distribution center of Sichuan Province of Primula. P.sikkmensisã€P. yunnanensis and P. involucrata ssp. yargongensis were found in several places and distributed widely. Distribution of Primula showed significant vertical characteristics.In evergreen broad-leaved forest, three speices were investigated. The majority concentrated in the more than 3600 meters of the subalpine, alpine shrub meadow.Eight species were in subaipine evergreen coniferous forest. The habits of Primula destroyed by natural factors and hunman factors.2.For the rational development and utilization of the wild Primula resources AHP is, applied to evaluating wild resources.26 Primula species were divided into three grades. P.chionantha ssp. sinopurpureaã€P.hongshanensisã€P. secundifloraã€P.wilsonii〠P. palmataã€P.poissonii, P. watsonii, P. sikkimensis and P. polyneurahad high development and utilization value.3.The experiment studied different concentrations of Gibberellin acid, different soaking temperature and light treatments on Germination Characteristics of P. polyneura and P. sikkimensis.The results show that GA3 had no significant effect on Seed Germination and germination rate of P.polynewa.100mg/L and 200mg/L GA3 concentratio raised the germination rate and germination potential,400mg/L inhibited of germination rate.30℃ and 40℃ water temperature had significant effect on seed germination of two species of Primula,germina.tion energy and germination rate increased significantly. Light had significant effect on seed germination rate.4.According to the introduction and cultivation of two species, P. polyneura begun germinating after ten days, it took three months to became a plant with five leaves. P. sikkimensis also began to germinate after ten days.It grew slowly. Three months later it became a plant with two leaves. In the introduction and cultivation management, the control of water supply, nutrition, and pests should be paid more attention.To sum up, by the investigation on the wild resources and studies on the biological characters of seed germination, introduction and cultivation,it offered special reference to the choice and introduction and cultivation of the wild Primula in the future. |
