In recent years, with the expansion of Saline area, the ecological environment had been destruction, the development of agriculture and animal husbandry were restricted, therefore, salinity plant research and the use of saline-alkali plants made meaningful improvements. In this paper, five kinds of the Vicia sativa L. had been investigated for the study, the test content covered include: measured 13 traits index analysis of five kinds of the Vicia sativa L. in Wuwei, Gansu Academy of Agricultural Experiment Station; determinationed the cotent of cyanide in five varieties of seeds;used complex salt solution with different salt concentrations to seed germination experiment in the incubator and did the Cangzhou Nandagang region saline soil cultivation experiment by pots. Aimed to understand the characteristics of five kinds of the Vicia sativa L., screened tolerant varieties of salt and alkali. The results showed that:1. The maximum number of branches in all species was 7504, 22216 and 1586 had higher fresh weight, dry weight and pod length than others; 22216 had higher pod numbers, grains, plant height, stem, leaf crude protein content; Su 3, 333 A and 7504 had shorter growth period, 1586 and 22216 the growth period was longer; the biggest hundred-grain weight species was Su 3; 333 A had higher leaf chlorophyll content than other varieties; 7504 had the highest dry leaves sample proline content. The gray correlation analysis results showed that 22216> 1586> 7504> Su 3> 333 A, compared with the other species,22216 and 1586 were better.2. There were little differences between the five kinds of the Vicia sativa L. in seed cyanide content 333 A was higher than others,7504 was the lowest, the cyanide in seed of various species as measured in this study were lower than the national standard.3. Seed germination test shows that salinity stress on all varieties germination rate, germination index and vigor index sequence was 22216> Su 3> 7504> 1586> 333A; the radicle and the germ of each species had little difference, low salt concentration(0.3%)could promote the growth of the seed, high salt concentrations(>0.6%)could inhibit the seed germination. Use subordinate function method, many indicators standard deviation coefficient of weight method and the grey correlation method to analysis the five species,the result showed that: seed germination stage salt tolerance sequence was 22216> Su 3> 7504> 1586> 333 A.4. Nandagang region potted planting test showed that germination rate,seedling height and proline content this three indicators closely related to the salt tolerance of plants. Emergence rate sequence was 22216> Su 3> 7504> 1586> 333 A,seedling height sequence was 22216> 1586> 333 A >7504 >Su 3, a certain degree of soil salinity would increase the proline content, physiological indicator between the five varieties had small difference. From the other point of view in all aspects of growing, 22216 and Su 3 suitability were better than others.5. Integrated Field Biological and salt tolerance test, found to be suitable in saline promotion species were 22216 and Su 3.
