Agricultural information is not only the foundation and the important part of national economy, but also an important means of promoting economic development in agriculture. The comprehensive agricultural information service is the premise and basis to speed up the process of development of agricultural informatization. The Internet of things(IOT) which is regarded as another revolution following the computer, the Internet after the wave of information technology development of the world,is an important part of the new generation of information technology, and also one of the important content of our country 12 th five-year plan. Therefore, the application of IOT is an important opportunity for development of agricultural information technology. This paper takes the IOT technology application as the starting point, with the agricultural informatization, agricultural information service system and other related theories as the foundation, makes a research and analysis through the agricultural information service demand, and tries to establish an agricultural information service system under the environment of Internet of things to promote the technology of Internet of things better service to China’s agriculture informatization construction.Firstly, the paper analyzes the development status of domestic and foreign agricultural information service system, provides the reference for the construction of agricultural information service system in Jiangsu province. Secondly, it compared the advantages of agricultural information service under the environment of Internet of things, and lists the main application of IOT in agricultural information service. The research on the application of Agricultural Internet of things in Jiangsu Province shows that, at present, the application of IOT is in the primary stage of development, with less technical service categories and geographical differences in the promotion process of technology. Then, it conducted a questionnaire survey among the part of the agriculture IOT industry park staffs and professional farmers using of the IOT technology for agricultural production in some cities of Jiangsu province. Research area includes seven cities of Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Nantong, Huai’an and Yancheng, covering southern, central and northern Jiangsu. We issued a total of 610 questionnaires from July 16 to September 2 in 2014, recovered 561 of them with 534 effective ones, and collected 107 interview records. Based on the survey data, this paper analyzes their demand of the application of IOT and then uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation making the abstract application needs index to be quantified indicators show. The results show that, firstly, the application of the IOT are not all independent existence, but there is some relevance, which can be classified and analyzed. Secondly, there are different priorities of IOT application needs among the agricultural households, which should be pay attention for market reference. Third, the overall application demand of IOT in agricultural information service are relatively strong, the construction of agricultural information service system under the environment of Internet of things is very urgent.Finally, based on the above research results, this paper constructs the agricultural information service system under the environment of Internet of things. And put forward some suggestions on optimizing the service system.
