Through adding the cysteamine continuously in raccoon feed, this test aims to study long-term effect of cysteamine on the growth performance of raccoons, their digestion and absorption, fur quality, serum biochemical aspects and also to make sure the optimum adding amount. Test feed came from Huludao XinZhongxu Feed Company, and the cysteamine from Nanjing North Star Animal Husbandry Company (12% effective dose). Cysteamine, in the form of additives, is added to the feed directly.120 raccoons (male female half) are evenly divided into four treatment groups,30 raccoons every group (male female half). The dose of cysteamine in each group is 0 (control group),10 mg/kg,20 mg/kg,30 mg/kg respectively. Feeding experiment and digestion experiment started from July 28,2013 to November 24,during which time we continuously add cysteamine in feed for 119 days; Fur quality test, serum biochemical test began from July 28,2013 and ending at December 6, during which time we continuously add cysteamine in feed for 131 days. The growth of raccoons performance, digestion and absorption performance, fur quality and serum biochemical data can be determined through tests, and SPSS statistical analysis can be utilized on the test data. Test results obtained are presented as follows:1. Adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly improve the raccoons’ body weight (P<0.01); Adding 30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed reduces the raccoons’ body weight (P>0.05).2. Adding 20 mg,30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly reduce the raccoons’feed intake (P<0.01).3. Adding 10 mg,20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly improve the raccoons’feed conversion rate (P<0.05, P<0.01); Adding 30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can reduce the raccoons’ feed conversion rate (P>0.05).4. Adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly reduce the raccoons’ feces protein quality score (P<0.01).5. Adding Cysteamine to the feed had no significant influence on the crude fat, crude ash content in the raccoons’ feces quality score (P>0.05).6. Adding 10 mg,20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly increase the raccoons heads’width (P<0.01); Adding 30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can lower the head width (P>0.05).7. Adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly increase the fur area of the raccoons (P<0.05); Adding 30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can reduce the area of the raccoons (P>0.05).8. Adding cysteamine to the feed had no significant influence raccoons tail width, length and the width of the central region of back (P>0.05).9. Adding 30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly reduce serum total protein content in the raccoons (P<0.01).10. Adding 20 mg,30 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly reduce the raccoons’nitrogen concentration in serum urea (P<0.05).11. Adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly improve raccoon serum concentration of low density lipoprotein (P<0.05). Adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can significantly improve raccoon serum concentration of low density lipoprotein (P>0.05).12. Adding cysteamine to the feed had no significant effect on raccoons’serum total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, triglyceride concentrations. That is to say, by adding 20 mg cysteamine to per kilogram of feed can improve the raccoon body weight, reduce the feed intake, improve feed conversion rate; reduce crude protein, crude fat and ash mass fraction in raccoons’waste; increasing the width of the raccoon hides, length, fur area, thickness; increase total protein, urea nitrogen, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (hdl-c), low density lipoprotein, triglyceride levels in serum. When adding amount reached up to 30 mg/kg, it can reduce the promoting effect of cysteamine, even causing side effects. So, cysteamine can play the best by mastering cysteamine reasonable amount and useage time. The test have utilized feeding experiment, digestion experiment of 119 d and 131 d of the fur quality measurement test, serum biochemical test continuous adding cysteamine in feed, and the amount of 20 mg/kg group is the best.
