| Prunus domestica is a new breed which was born of the reduplicate and intricate hybridization of apricots and plums. The new breed is recognized as one of the most new breeds and is expected to have a good market prospect, featuring the quick fructification, the big fruit, the bright colors of pericarp and sarcocarp, the unique sweetness of the fruit and the soluble solids account for 19.0% to 23.2%. As is well known that low temperature is a main factor limiting the growth and distribution of plants. The cold weather is easy to damage the branches which is to bear fruit. The same is as the introduction new breed--prunus domestica in Aksu area( xinjiang province). These trees’ topmost branches turned out to suffer the damage of the cold and even some can’t survive the winter, which is not good to promotion of prunus domestica. At present, there is little academic research on the cold resistance of prunus domestica growing in Xinjiang. This study is conducted to explore the cold resistance of prunus domestica in Aksu area and rich the physiological theory of prunus domestica’s cold resistance, which have significant contributions to the introduction, cultivation and popularization of prunus domestica in Xinjiang. This paper took six kinds of prunus domestica’s annual dormant branches as the experimental materials to study the physiological mechanism of cild resistance in different low-temperature conditions through setting micro thermal groups(-15℃,-20℃,-25℃,-30℃ and-35℃). Firstly, the electrolyte leakage rates were measured via conductance method and the Lethal temperature (LT50) was obtained through the Logistic equation. Secondly, the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein and the MDA were measured and compared. Finally, the ability to resist cold of all prunus domestica varieties were evaluated via using the testing data, analog computation, variance analysis and membership function. The main conclusions are as follows:the leakage rates of each electrolyte presented different and had significantly negative correlations with the low temperature; the lethal temperatures of the Konglongdan, the Weidi, the Fengweimeigui, the Fengweihuanghou, the Weiwang and the Weihou were 34.43℃,32.37℃,32.37℃, 37.41℃,40.14℃,31.14℃ separately; the level of the cold-resisting ability were Weiwang> Fengweimeigui> Fengweihuanghou> Konglongdan> Weidi> Weihou. |
