Digital image colorimetric (DIC) applied for hazardous substances detection inbiological and chemical areas proven to be an easy-operation, rapid,cost-effective method. Because the method of color quantitative was used, theprecision for DIC was higher than the visual colorimetric. In the application ofDIC there are two necessary steps should be completed, image captured andcolor quantization. Whether the light area is uniform in the process of imagecapturing will lead a big effect to the result for image analysis. Thus, in thispaper, a LED (Light Emitting Diode) surface serve as the light source, the smartphone (Coolpad8736) as the tool for image capture in the DIC experiment. Also, the organ ophosphorus pesticide was detected with this method. All of the resultsobtained above we can make a conclusion, with the help of the surface lightsource in DIC, the quality of the images was get a very high level and the threesmart phones we choose in the DIC experiment have a similar function. Duringthe real sample detection, the results obtained with DIC and UV-visspectrophotometer have a correlation about0.9951. So, the method we proposedwas a simple, easy-operation and a cost-effective one.
