Southern Xin Jiang region sandstorm weather occurred more frequently, in farmland mulch causedserious damage, in order to analyze membrane under the effect of sand damage, through field investigationand wind tunnel test were studied. Influence factors of membrane damage is divided into internal cause andexternal cause, internal cause is refers to the effect of all factors affecting membrane strength before andafter the external cause is refers to the effect of lead to the influence factors of membrane damage. In viewof the external cause, experimental study results show that the plastic damage and cotton planting patterns,the direction of the wind, groove depth and soil conditions and is closely related to the height of cottongrowth. Based on wind tunnel test, the (600+100) x100mm planting patterns, the sand under the actionof the stress of the film as a whole is small, and the (680+80) and (660+100) x100mm x100mmcompared two planting pattern, its stress distribution is uniform, Under the effect of different types of soil,under the action of wind at level5covering thickness of film can protect and groove depth are different,and the thickness of covering in loam cotton fields for at least60mm, the depth of the groove for at least80mm. Different effect of wind on side force of the membrane at different, choose the direction of thewind with edge membrane the Angle between the range of0°~90°, the results show that the smaller theAngle, the film and the stronger ability to resist the sand. Choose cotton0~500mm high, analysis of therelationship between the cotton height and membrane damage, the results showed as the cotton increasedgradually, mulch in sand under the action of stress decreases, cotton for film have the effect of protection.In the whole experiment process, reinforced sand resistance is better than conventional plastic mulch, andin the same conditions, the tension of reinforced plastic is less than the conventional film.According to the research results in southern Xin Jiang region specific membrane breakage protectionmeasures are put forward:(1) using the new type of reinforced plastic-reinforced plastic.(2) increase the covering on the surface of the film thickness. Loam soil cotton, cotton fields of sandysoil and cohesive soil in the cotton fields corresponding to the thickness of the overlying soil is60~70mm,80~90mm,45~60mm.(3) increase the capacity of membrane. Loam soil cotton, cotton fields of sandy soil and cohesive soil inthe cotton fields of the corresponding plastic capacity for80mm,100mm,70mm.(4) change the direction of laminating. Try to make the film side film coated direction and the Anglebetween the larger wind range between0°~90°.(5) modified cotton planting patterns. Pick up cotton in adapt to cotton-picking machine mode, theuniform distribution of holes on the membrane as possible, in order to reduce the stress concentration.(6) kind of hole punch to change shape. For regular square hole instead of circular hole, make a hole inthe sand under the action of uniform stress, reduce stress concentration.(7) modified the structure of membrane. By increasing the thickness of the film to enhance the windresistance of the film and the critical damage strength, by increasing the reinforcement and so on the way toincrease wind resistance of film.
