| 29varieties of pecan [Carya illinoinensis (Wangenh.) K. Koch] in Hangzhou district,ZhejiangProvincewere collected for measuring and analyzing the morphological characteristics. thenutritional components in defatted flour, fatty composition, physicochemical properties of crude fat and soon to reveal differences in morphology and composition of pecan (C. illinoinensis) germplasm, to providescientific basis for the cultivar evaluation and development of pecan, and to mank the grain and oil grouprich, and to guide market development on pecan in Zhejiang region. The results are as following:1.Twenty nine cultivars of pecan germplasm were collected from Yuhang district, Zhejiang ProvinceThe fruit weight, fruit shape index, seed weight, rate of seed, thickness of shuck, seed shape index, weightof kernel and rate of kernel were all determined, compared, and analyzed. The correlation of them was alsodiscussed. The results showed that there were obvious differences in morphology of pecan (C. illinoinensis)germplasm; There was significantly positive correlation between the fruit weight and the seed weight (thecorrelation coefficient was0.923), the fruit shape index was significantly positive correlated with nut shapeindex (the correlation coefficient was0.941), the seed shape index was significantly negative correlatedwith the thickness of seed shell (the correlation coefficient was-0.478). ZL90has the heaviest fruit andseed, thin shell and high rate of kernel. The intraspecific variation coefficient of ZL90was small, so its traittransmission was stable.2.The contents of main nutritional components in the defatted flour of pecan [C. illinoinensis]cultivars were measured and analyzed to provide scientific basis for the development and utilization ofdefatted flour of pecan cultivars. Twenty nine cultivars of pecans in Yuhang distract were collected. Lowrymethod, anthrone-sulfuric acid method, external standard method, AAS method and other methods wereused to measure the contents of protein, sugar, amino acid and nutrition elements, respectively. Results:There were abundant nutrient components in C.illinoinensis, and there were significant differences in thecontents of the main nutrient components of29cultivars pecan kernel; Sulfur amino acid was the firstlimiting amino acid in29cultivars pecan; the highest content amino acid was glutamic acid which rangefrom14.39mg/g to34.63mg/g.3.The composition and content of fatty acid in pecan oil was analyzed by GC. The ABTS+method was used to measure the antioxidant activity of pecan oil. The results showed that the highest content of fatacid in pecan oil was oleic acid, followed by linoleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, linolenic acid, andcis-11-eicosenoic acid; The total amount of unsaturated fatty acid was90%; Number ZL94showedstrongest antioxidant activity with ABTS+free radical scavenging rate of65.33%. Thus, to breed the pecancultivars with good antioxidant activity, people should give priority to the content of palmitic acid in pecanoil. This study can play a guiding role in development, utilization of antioxidant, anti-aging plant andcultivation of pecan varieties. |
