Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.) has become one of the main varieties of marine aquaculture, which significantly promotes the development of Chinese emerging aquaculture. With the growing scale of intensive farming, the rapid increase of stocking density and the deteriorating of water environment, pandemics happened in turbot, especially severe bacterial disease. It has become key problem in fish farming that prevention and control of disease. Therefore, this research is about biological traits of common pathogenic Vibrio(Vibrio anguillarum) in fish, which includes apparent features and pathogenicity.V.anguillarum was isolated from a turbot farm in Hebei, and was conducted a comparative study of biological traits, including morphology, physical and chemical characteristics, phylogeny, etiology content sense, serotyping and PFGE molecular typing. The results showed that all strains from pathogenesis(death) turbot have the same basic biological indications apparent characteristic traits and phylogeny.Experimental infection in health turbots by "Koch law", indicating V.anguillarum has a relatively strong pathogenic role and was a primary pathogen.Representative V.anguillarum strains were chosen from pathogenesis(death)turbot in different farms, which were applied the classic serological agglutination test method to serological homology analysis. The result showed that homology and differernce between strains. All of the V.anguillarum strains were used PFGE to molecular typing, whose results showed genetic similarity between 65.3% and 100%and the different degrees of kinship with each other. The study shows that the wild V.anguillarum strains isolated from turbot, which have a typical V.anguillarum biological and phylogenetic features. Although the strains had different specific antigenicities, which were applie pulsed-field gel electrophoresis to showe a certain degree of kinship. The results are not only enriching the biological traits of V.anguillarum, but also providing scientific information testing and further research.
