| In order to solve the problems of low yield, poor quality and low recovery growth due to improper cutting managerment.This research use the alfalfa grown in Yinchuan, Ning Xia hui automomous region as experimental meterials.The content of soluble sugar, soluble protein, proline, and malondialdehyde in the root under the different cutting treatment were measured.The relationship between among nutrients content in the root, hay yield and recovery growth were formulated to determine the optimum cutting measures.The result showed:(1)Soluble sugar, soluble protein and malondialdehyde in the alfalfa root reach the highest value when cutting height was 8～11cm; proline content was the hightest under5～8 cm; the hay yield,crude protein and relative feeding value was highest when cutting height is 5～8cm.(2)The storage material in root, the yield and quality of hay were highest with 4 cuttings. When the cutting frenquence was less than 2, the storage material in root decreased significantly.(3)In summary,4 cuttings in a year in Yinchuan area is reconmended, the cutting heights were 5～8cm for the first,second,third cutting and at least 11cm for 4th cutting,in order to improve the surrival rate in the following year. |
