In this paper, an indoor pot experiment, i.e. different substrates were mixed into the culture pots, and seven sets of different proportions of organic material were handled, which were used to study physical and chemical properties of nursery substrate of different material, changes of nutrient content of nursery substrate in rice seedling process and effect of nursery substrate on rice seedling growth and plant nutrient accumulation. The results showed that:(1)Physical and chemical properties of nursery substrate of different material. The bulk density of CK was the maximum, but water holding capacity(WHC) was the minimum; bulk density of C1 C was the minimum, but WHC was the maximum. WHC and bulk density of substrate were negatively correlated. Of the same treatment and the same proportion of organic material, bulk density and WHC of adding carbon treatment were better than that of the non-carbon treatment; bulk density and WHC of treatment 1 of the same organic material with different proportion were better than that of treatment 2; bulk density and WHC of different organic material with the same proportion, C(straw)>R(rice husk)>M(mushroom). Water loss rate of each treatment increased with the days increasing. After 16 d, CK water loss rate was slightly lower and C1 C was the highest. R1 C organic matter content was the highest; substrates organic matter content of different organic material with the same proportion, R> C> M. Substrates p H of each treatment were gently rising with rice seedling growing. Substrates p H were 4.71 ~ 5.54 during entire seedling stages. Of all the substrates, M1 p H had maximal changes, and C1 C p H changed the least.(2)Rice seedlings of C1 C and R1 C, stem diameters and heights, roots number and maximum root length, SPAD value, biomass and leaf index were all larger compared with other treatments; and these index above of treatment 1 of the same organic material with different proportion were better than that of treatment 2; Of the same treatment and the same proportion of organic material, these index above of adding carbon treatment were better than that of the non-carbon treatment. All rice seedlings index of substrate were better than that of CK.M1 C, C1 C, R1 C,C1 and R1 of leaf index reached or were over 3.5, the other treatments were 3.2 ~ 3.4, CK was slightly lower at 3.2. The ratio of root/shoot of M1 C, C1 C and R1 C were relatively higher, more than 0.390. The rest of the substrate treatments were for 0.351 ~ 0.386, CK was slightly lower by 0.344. Plumpness of C1 C and R1 C were being higher compared to other treatment. All rice seedlings plumpness of substrate were better than that of CK.(3)Effect of nursery substrate of different material on plant dry matter accumulation and N, P, K(nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) accumulation. Dry matter accumulation and N,P,K accumulation of rice seedlings growing on different material substrates increased with rice seedlings growing. Dry matter accumulation and N, P, K accumulation of C1 Cand R1C were more than that of other treatments. Dry matter accumulation and N, P, K accumulation of C2 and R2 were low; but dry matter accumulation and N, P, K accumulation of substrate rice seedlings were all better than that of the CK seedlings. Dry matter accumulation and N, P, K accumulation of treatment 1 of the same organic material with different proportion were better than that of treatment 2; Of the same treatment and the same proportion of organic material, dry matter accumulation and N, P, K accumulation of adding carbon treatment were better than that of the non-carbon treatment.(4)Dynamic changes of nutrient content in nursery substrates of different material. The substrates of ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen content was overall decreasing trend, with the growth of rice seedlings. The substrates of ammonium nitrogen content of C1 and C1 C were more than that of other treatments, ammonium nitrogen of M1 were the lowest. The substrates of nitrate nitrogen content of C1 C and R1 C were more than that of other treatments. nitrate nitrogen of substrate were all better than that of the CK.The substrates of inorganic nitrogen content of C1 and C1 C were more than that of other treatments. Available phosphorus content C(straw) in all four treatment periods compared with other treatments is high. Potassium content of the matrix in the seedling stage an overall downward trend, the highest potassium content C1 C.After different matrix material seedling rice seedling total nitrogen, phosphorus content, compared with the previous matrix seedling some matrix rise somewhat decreased. After the rice seedlings, total nitrogen and total phosphorus content of the matrix is still C1 C highest. Different material before and after the rice seedling nursery matrix changes slowly available potassium, CK is higher than the other treatments.(5)The C1 C was the optimal substrate, which was mixed in different proportions by ground corn stalks, organic manure, peat, zeolite, vermiculite, fine river sand, carbon powder, etc., which p H changed little, and had strong buffer, high nutrient content of substrate, physical and chemical properties were the best. Rice seedlings cultured with this substrates had the highest nutrient accumulation, strong hair roots, high shoot and the best growth status.
