In the context of innovation-driven development, the traditional manufacturing industry should enhance their competitive advantage in order to pursue the development. Competitive advantage does not only from the production of technological innovation, but also from the management of innovation. To obtain sustainable innovation ability, enterprises need to launch the innovative potential of all employees, making enterprise’s innovation into the full-member innovation state, so that innovation will truly drive the development of enterprise.After the huge success of lean management thinking in Toyota, it was quickly introduced to the nations, become a national manufacturing production model pursued. Today’s Chinese manufacturing industry is in the big wave of a "pro-growth structural adjustment" of the industrial structure optimizing and upgrading, the lean production model still has applicability for the China’s manufacturing industry. How to learn advanced production management experience, how to apply the theory to the practice, how to make all employees to participate in the transformation of production processes and creativity, how to achieve continuous improvement of production processes become the key for the traditional smelting manufacturing enterprises to breathe new life.In the process of the transformation of business operations, Yunnan Yuntong Zinc Co.,Ltd. presented the continuous improvement projects to transform the production process, in order to solve the problem of corporate governance, highlight the return on investment and to improve and expand the project participants so that achieving cost reduction and efficiency. In this paper, sorting out the project management, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement theory and methods, analyzing the current project management problems, then build the Lean Management System of continuous improvement projects based on those ideas. And putting it into production practices, achieve better results, then build the relevant safeguards, finally, making the content of lean management system more complete. Looking forward to the further improving of management system, with the practice of the continuous improvement projects, what’s more, providing some reference for companies in the same industry.
