| China’s economy has made remarkable achievements since practicing the reform and opening-up policy. From 1978 to 2012, its Real GDP experienced an annual growth of 9.9 percent, and the economic growth of different areas shows an obvious imbalance on the basis of originally bigger economy gap. However, the existing study shows little concern about the influence of industrial structure’s change on regional economic growth. Thus, we try to complete the research in this field by studing the the influence of the change of industrial structure on economic growth, and our study has great practical significance for our country’s regional industrial structure adjustment strategy and narrowing the difference of regional economic.On the other hand, the outbreak of the financial crisis in 2008 made some problems became prominent increasingly, our country’s overall economic growth rate was decline, the voice of economic transformation rose gradually. So discussing our country’s advantages of big power and comparative advantage between regions, vigorously promoting domestic industrial structure adjustment, extending the domestic industrial value chain and improving the status of global value chain are the main method to advance China’s economic growth.This dissertation reviewed relevant theory on the relationship between industrial structure and economic growth, analyzed industrial structure’s Rationalization and Upgrading, and use three methods to compare the characteristics of regional industrial structure’s transition; Then, we introduced these two variables and considered the growth accounting equation with the spacial panel econometric analysis method.Particularly, the main discoveries of this dissertation include the following:(1) Evaluated the characteristics of industrial structure evolution in our country and different regions. Respectively used index, comparison with the law of kuznets and spatial correlation three ways, and found that: firstly, China’s overall industrial structure tends to growing; The Eastern Region’s industrial structure rationalization degree is far bigger than other Regions; before 2006, Western Region’s industrial structure Upgrading degree was highest, after 2006, the Central and Western regions’ Upgrading level fell, the Eastern Region constantly increased and exceeded others. Secondly the whole country and regions were in the intermediate stage of industrialization, and had irrationality industrial structure which in the Western Region is most serious. The overall problems were mainly expressed: the first industrial gathered more labor forces, and the output proportion of the second industry declined in the Eastern Region. Lastly, industrial structure rationalization has significant positive correlation.(2)We used spacial panel econometric analysis method and the results were: on the one hand, most related variables were positive correlation, the eastern region existed negative correlation that maybe due to the development of the eastern region mostly attracted the production factor of the neighboring regions. On the other hand, industrial structure upgrading promoted economic growth, industrial structure rationalization has significant negative effect on economic growth in the nation and the eastern region, while not significant in other regions. The author speculates that, the development of industrial structure rationalization should to reach a certain degree, in this range, with its down and industrial structure upgrading increasing, economy gets further growth. |
