As the economic globalization process richer, the connections of global economy are more closely than ever before. It not only brings a lot of opportunities but also unprecedented challenges in the field of manufacturing industry. With the development of information technology and improvement of theories of enterprise management, more and more ERPs have arisen. The main object is to provide solutions by using the management means of informatization and systematization.The dissertation is based on SAP ECC system which is the leading ERP solution provider SAP released. It designs the warehouse management system according to the future development requirements of large machinery manufacturing enterprise in order to achieve automated warehouse management, including repacking and stockpiling, in-house transportation, stock removal by order and stocktaking etc. The dissertation mainly includes the following aspects:1. It analyzes and summarizes management problems of large machinery manufacturing enterprise and makes a requirement analysis for warehouse management system according to the enterprise future development requirements.2. It analyzes the master data and process for SAP standard warehouse management system and summarizes its advantage and disadvantage. Then, master data and process of warehouse management s ystem are designed based on standard system.3. It takes use of advanced business application programming to develop the warehouse management system according to the design goals, which combines the system needs, uses workflow technique to trigger the master data transmission, uses remote function call to achieve data transmission between two systems, uses ITS MOBLIE technique to make wireless device apply to warehouse system, develops barcode by using ZPL2 language.4. It takes system functional testing and performance testing in order to make sure system can achieve the design goals after implementing.The system is implemented in production system and runs smoothly. The system makes warehouse work more efficiency so as to benefit company and enhance the competitiveness of the company in the global market. This dissertation provides a useful reference solution for warehouse management of large machinery manufacturing enterprise.
