With the development of human living standard, convenient transportation gradually becomes to the focus of human life. Continuous rigid frame bridge is a kind of common bridge type, the span becomes onger and the piers become higher in recent years. But these development will cause another problem that is the drop of overall stiffness. Therefore, this type of structure is sensitive to wind force. The turbulent component of the natural wind will cause bridge wind-induced buffeting. The buffeting can appears at any wind speed. This kind of wind-induced buffeting can not cause big damage but will cause large deformation which is unfavorable to safety and comfort. Structure fatigue caused by the wind buffeting force may reduce bridge’s service life. Thus based on two rigid frame bridge with high-pier and long-span, this paper uses ANSYS finite element software to analyze bridge’s wind-induced buffeting response under construction stage and operation stage. This paper mainly includes the following content:1) Based on harmonic synthesis method, the simulation of wind field is conducted using MATLAB at the location of Qiluogou bridge.2) Based on finite element software, Qiluogou bridge model is built and the dynamic characteristics are analyzed. The bridge’s static wind force response under construction stage and operation stage is computed.3) The self-excited wind force is simulated by using Matrix27 element.4) The buffeting response of the bridge in time-domain is analyzed by using ANSYS transient dynamic analysis.5) The critical section’sstress spectrum of a typical long-span continuous rigid frame bridge with high pier is calculated by using rain flow method. Based on stress circle and stress amplitude result, thefatigue cumulative damage and fatigue life is calculated.
