With the development and application of nuclear technology in many fields, more and more people can exposed to some nuclear radiation in the work and life, people graduallyattached greater importance to radiological impact on our life and work. Therefore, it is very important to establish an effective nuclear radiation monitoring system to monitor and record the level of radioactivity in the workplace and environment.This paper startfrom aspects of the regional environmental nuclear radiation monitoring.In view of the deficiency of the domestic radiation monitoring system,the introduction of Ethernet technology in radiation monitoring systems as a means of communication with the monitoring node and host computer. In order to achieve the design requirements, the paper design of Ethernet-based environmental nuclear radiation monitoring system chosen STM32F103ZET6 as microcontrollers, J304 GM counter tube as a nuclear radiation detector, ENC28J60 as an Ethernet communication chips, in conjunction with the TFTLCD and buzzer components of the composition of a monitoring node having a radiation detection capability. Monitoring node uses uIP1.0 communication protocol by UDP communication with the host computer software to form a complete monitoring system. Host computer software writed by Qt uses SQLite database to store data dose of each node, at the same time can also makethe data of each node in period of time graphical display, and can export the data corresponding to the node to facilitate future analysis.There are two main innovations in the design of an Ethernet-based environmental radiation monitoring system: first, monitoring nodes can be used alone as a radiation dose monitor, but also as a monitoring node connected to the LAN become part of the monitoring system; second, database design using a framework, a later date when the replacement of other types of databases, host computer software code is almost no changes. In addition, the system also has the advantages of easy to use, easy to maintain, has ability to be real-time monitoring of the various nodes of the nuclear radiation dose data uploaded to the monitoring center of the host computer and stored in the database.The system has been tested to achieve the function of the design, and has a certain practicality and economy in the environmental nuclear radiation monitoring.
