With the development of the automotive industry, vehicle performance is being improved constantly, vehicle speed is also soaring. It has became a hot spot in automotive industry research that how to brake quickly and to protect lives and property safety in emergency. Research shows that the main component in automotive brake system is disc brake, which consists of brake caliper and other components.Brake caliper sealing performance marks the brake performance, also marks the car’s safety and reliability, so the brake caliper sealing detection is very important. The main research work are as follows:1.The overall design plan of the brake caliper sealing detection bench was protocoled, which mainly consists of lower computer system and PC system. PC system is made of human-machine interface and the printer, lower computer system mainly consists of PLC, pneumatic servo control module, automatic control module, pneumatic control module, testing system and proportional valve, etc.2.The mechanical part of bench was studied, the research was based on the safety and detection accuracy.We used ADAMS and AMESIM to simulate.3.The pneumatic servo control system was researched. The main work is to build the system mathematical model of pneumatic servo control system, deduce mathematical model of valve control cylinder servo control system, and obtain its state space representation, and the paper analyzed the static characteristic.4.Compared with traditional PID control algorithm, the pole placement and H∞ control algorithm were studied to find the best intelligent control method to improve the stability and anti-jamming capability of the system.5.Aimed at the characteristics, the plan for brake caliper sealing detection was designed. The paper selected the hardware for detection system and completed its connection and debugging based on pneumatic diagram of detection system, and design the configuration software.6.We built the bench, installed and debugged the control system and detection system, so as to achieve the desired requirements and complete the brake caliper sealing detection.The H∞ algorithm, pole placement algorithm and PID algorithm were applied to the bench control system, and the brake caliper sealing detection bench was developed, which meets the requirements after Chery caliper production line detection.
