When nuclear accident happens, the harsh environment would seriously damage the electronics, therefore, the ability of radiation resistant is the key to complete rescue mission for nuclear rescue robot. In this thesis, shielding property of materials were simulated by MCNP. The design, preparation and performance testing of epoxy resin based temperature-resistant neutron shielding composite materials were completed. A scheme of electronic devices radiation shielding about rescue robots was proposed, the following conclusions are obtained:First, comparing with frequently-used neutron shielding fillers by MCNP software, boron carbide showed better performance of neutron shielding, but with weak absorption area. Based on the simulation of epoxy resin, which acting as matrix material, it can make up the weak absorption of boron carbide. In the nuclear accident environment, neutron shielding composite materials have better performance of neutron shielding at the neutron energy range of 0-2 Mev.Second, testing the performance of composite materials by 241Am-Be neutron source, show that boron carbide particles could significantly increase the shielding properties of AFG90-H epoxy resin. The density of 60wt% B4C composite materials was only 1.74g/cm3, neutron shielding properties increased by 58.6% compared with AFG90-H epoxy resin. The addition of boron carbide particles can improve the material properties of thermal conductivity and high temperature resistant. Excellent performance of resistance to acid and alkali corrosion was also showed.Third, the selection of gamma shielding materials had excellent performance. Shielding structure performance of neutron and gamma shielding materials were simulated, the result showed that neutron shielding layer should be arranged outside, then the shielding effect was better and produced less secondary gamma rays. Local and overall shielding method was proposed to protect the electronic components.
