Shield machine is the special tunnel consruction machinery which has broad market prospect in nowadays.Cutter head is the core component of shield machine, breaking rock, stabilizing the cutting face and other functions.There is some gap at home and abroad in these aspects.Therefore, in this paper, the rock breaking process of disk cutter and arrangement of tools are researched in-depth to improve the efficiency of breaking rock.The main researches of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1) For disc cutter vibration problem in the process of excavation of shield machine,modal analysis is carried out on the double edge disc cutter using ABAQUS software,drawing a disc cutter inherent vibration frequency and vibration model figure,providing the basis for disc cutter’s designing to avoid resonance.For the failure problem of disc cutter stress too big,This paper gets the stress distribution of the disc cutter under different stress state by statics analysis, providing some advice for disc cutter structure design.(2) By means of single edge disc cutter breaking rock simulation analysis, this paper obtains the vertical force, vertical force and rolling force with the change of time;by setting hob different cutting depth,the paper gains the depth of the rock breaking.This paper also gains the best cutter space in certain depth by setting different cutter space.What’s more,this paper studies the effect of the disc cutter cross section shape on the wear by different shape.(3) This paper analyzes the stress distribution and deformation of the metal surface by finite element method simulation.Also this paper establishs the hob uniform wear, chord partial wear prediction formula which can know the wear of the hob in advance.(4) Cutter layout curve is introduced and method for determining the number of tools. Adopting the principle of equal life of cutter to do hob layout optimization which can prolonging the service life of cutting tools.(5) Hob and cutter stress is analyzed, optimize the tool layout by the means of the knife dish force balance principle.
