In recent years, no matter the market of developed countries or the market in newly industrialized countries, automobile production and sales have reached a certain degree of saturation, the quality of comprehensive performance becomes an important factor which determines whether a car can be accepted by the market or not, and the ascension of vehicle overall performance becomes the dominant force to push users to upgrade. Ride comfort and handling stability are the basic performance of vehicle. These two performance are conflicting and interrelated, so how to improve the comprehensive performance of ride comfort and handling stability is a common problem faced by enterprises. Cooperative research and simulation realization of automobile ride comfort and handling stability are in line with the requirements to improve the comprehensive performance of the vehicle.In current, the cooperative research of automobile ride comfort and handling stability has made some progress, but there are still some problems. It doesn’t reveal the real mutual influence mechanism of automobile ride comfort and handling stability within the existed cooperative research. Also, there is no systematic modeling of cooperative model based on theoretical modeling approach.In this paper, based on Uni Tire model and filter noise random road time-domain model, corresponding cooperative models of automobile ride comfort and handling stability are established in plane system and space system respectively. Runge Kutta method is applied to solve them and the simulation is carried on. The mechanism of mutual influence of automobile ride comfort and handling stability is analyzed. The specific contents as below:(1) The linear tire model, nonlinear Uni Tire model and linear Uni Tire model are summarized. Based on filter noise method, single wheel road surface model is established in time domain. The correlations of front and rear wheels road input, as well as the the correlations of left and right wheels road input, is analyzed theoretically. And the front-rear wheels road model and left-right wheels road model are established. Finally the four-wheel road surface model is built in time domain.(2) Based on certain assumptions, the model of ride comfort and model of handling stability are established separately in the plane system, and the simulation is carried on. Based on the two separate models, a six degree of freedom cooperative model of automobile ride comfort and handling stability is established in plane system through the integration, and under the linear and nonlinear Uni Tire model, the corresponding simulation algorithm is established respectively. Runge Kutta method is applied to solve the two cooperative models, and the simulation results are compared and analyzed. The results show that, under the same pavement condition, the response volatility of cooperative model under nonlinear tire model is greater than the linear tire model.The cooperative research of automobile ride comfort and handling stability in plane system reveals the interaction of two performance, which lays the foundation for the cooperative research of automobile ride comfort and handling stability in space system..(3) Based on certain assumptions, the model of ride comfort and the model of handling stability are established separately in the space system, and the simulation is carried out. Based on two separate models, from the point of view of energy to analyze the coupling characteristics, a nine degree of freedom cooperative model of automobile ride comfort and handling stability is established in space system through the integration, and under the linear and nonlinear Uni Tire models, the corresponding simulation algorithm is established respectively. Runge Kutta method is applied to solve the two models, and then the simulation results are compared. Results show that, under the same pavement condition, the influence degree of the nonlinear factors of tire on the temporal fluctuations of each response quantity is different.Cooperative research within space system is more complicated, and the constructed cooperative model and its simulation results are closer to actual situation. This fully reveals the relationship between automobile ride comfort and handling stability, it also reflects the effect of nonlinear factors of tire in revealing the inner influence of the performance of ride comfort and handling stability. The cooperative research of automobile ride comfort and handling stability has important guiding significance and reference significance to the research of auto parts structure design, performance optimization and dynamic control etc.
