Steam turbine governing system plays a very important role in the stable operation of the steam turbine. Several core equipments of the ammonia plant of the large chemical fertilizer plant in the Tarim Basin, the compressor is driven by steam turbine. The speed of the machine can be controlled and stable, so that the output power of the steam turbine and the load balance can be maintained. The speed adjusting system of the steam turbine is to adjust the speed by adjusting the load. When the load increases, will open the valve control system, increase the steam quantity(load decreases instead). The normal operating speed of the steam turbine must be maintained at the time of the load change. In addition when the load suddenly reduced, the speed control system to prevent the rapid increase in speed. In the daily production process, there will be a lot of steam turbine rotating speed anomalies, substantial fluctuations in the situation, the production has brought a lot of impact, and even parking, resulting in huge economic losses. However, these abnormal fluctuations in a short period of time is difficult to accurately judge, so in the process of dealing with a big problem. In order to judge the cause of the abnormal speed of the large chemical fertilizer steam turbine, this paper mainly studied and summarized some similar problems occurred in the recent years, and combined with other enterprises in the steam turbine governing system.
