As a kind of industrial transmission gear, because of its unique transmission theory,permanent magnet eddy current coupler of concentrated flux is applied in the filed of petrifaction, pharmacy, metallurgy, etc. This paper works on rotary permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentrated flux, which not only has the advantage of non-load starting characteristics, stable operation and low requirements on accuracy of alignment, but also it can realize contactless transmission by making bronze pan and permanent magnet disk do relative movement to produce magnetic coupled force, and adjust output torque under the condition of changing air-gap width to get to the purposes of energy saving and environmental protection. As our country and governments pay much attention to energy utilization, therefore,analysis on the performance of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentrated flux becomes extremely important. This paper mainly introduces the following parts:Firstly, this paper works on the research of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentrated flux, the magnetic circuit structure of concentrated flux is the improvement and reinforcement of normal magnetic circuit. On the basis of fully understanding the structure and working theory of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentration flux, we will use Ansoft finite element software to do physical model, then install the conditions of material and boundary of transmission device by using software.Secondly, on the basis of using finite element software to do models, this paper analyzes the influence of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentration flux on transmission torque, magnetic induction and eddy-current losses under the condition of different speed discrepancy and structural parameter. From the analysis, we can see that different speed discrepancy and structural parameter almost have the same influences on transmission torque and magnetic induction, when the air-gap and structure almost are on the same condition and the speed discrepancy is almost on 500 to 700 rpm, the torque has the maximum; when the structure and speed discrepancy are the same, then the air-gap smaller, the transmission torque becomes bigger; also, eddy-current loss is mainly connected to speed discrepancy and transmission torque, when the air-gap and structure are the same, the speed discrepancy is bigger, the eddy-current losses is bigger; when the speed discrepancy is constant, thetransmission torque is bigger, the eddy-current losses is bigger.Thirdly, by analyzing the influence of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentration flux structure difference on transmission torque under the condition of the same air-gap and the different speed, we can see that when the best pole number of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentration flux reaches 10, the thickness of bronze pan is3 mm, the thickness of permanent magnet is 10 mm, the air-gap and the magnetization angle of small magnetization angle is the smaller, the better; using the optimum value of structural parameter analyzed to do models, and getting the torque value of optimum structure by analyzing finite element analysis under the condition of different speed discrepancy and air-gap.Lastly, building experimental platform and introducing the testing system working theory of this platform. On the basis of better-understanding experimental platform, we will make measurement on transmission torque of permanent Magnet Eddy-current coupler of concentration flux under the condition of optimum structure, on the basis of that analysis the relations of this value and the finite element analysis value.
