Aiming at the problems of numerous seismic instrument system modules, the complexity of design and implementation, combined with large system volume, time consuming in field experiments, an experimental teaching system of virtual seismic instrument is proposed in the paper. With Flash animation design tools for simulation of field work on a seismic instrument process; based on the block diagram programming ideology of graphical programming language LabVIEW and the modular design concept, the instrument is divided into different modules. seismic instrument divided signal generator, data acquisition, data storage, data transmission and other basic module. Design for each module depend on the circuit configuration and function, set the amplifier gain and other key parameters enable students to grasp the function of each modules and setting key parameters; further data preprocessing for the collected data allows students to appreciate the processes of ’Sensing input-Data collection-Communication connections-Data preprocessing’ through virtual experiments. The design provides a virtual simulation platform and teaching resources for undergraduate experiments and practical courses which trains students the skills for self-designed scientific experiments and brings up science and innovative abilities.This paper carried out seismic instrument system design using virtual instrument design idea which eliminating the need for complex hardware design process, saving the cost of field experiments and avoid the risk of field experiments. |
