Timing screw shows great advantages in the accuracy, stability and flexibility,makes it indispensable in the field of high speed delivery, the pros and cons of its performance is related to advanced degree of the whole production line. For now, the research of design and manufacturing technology in all kinds of timing screw especially special timing screw still is not perfected in the domestic, so they can’t meet the requirement of modern high-speed production lines. So it has important theoretical meaning and engineering value to research the design and manufacturing technology of timing screw.In order to further improve the stability of the screw in high speed line, a new variable acceleration motion law of helix model was putted forward in this paper, and the construction method of modular helix was discussed on that basis. Through the analysis of the geometry forming principle of spiral groove, facing the special timing screw, the geometry and posture of bottle or tank in any moment was analyzed, and the mathematical model of complex spiral groove was established based on the spatial envelope theory, the spiral groove accurate theoretical expression of spiral groove which aim at bottle or tank was put forward. specific program for CAD modeling was developed by CATIA secondary development technology, then, the transformation from the mathematical model to the 3 d model was realized. The accuracy of the mathematical model of the spiral groove surface was proved through the analysis of the error between theoretical model and actual model. This paper further discussed the machining technology of special screw, and the accurate conversion from the 3d virtual model to physical model was realized by numerical control technology.Aiming at the research problems of special timing screw, in this paper, the accurate configuration of complex screw surface was realized by the research of the variable pitch spiral form, the mathematic model of spiral groove, the method of 3d modeling and manufacture technology of timing screw, which has important academic meaning and engineering value.
