During the execution of orbital transfer task, Aerospace transportation vehicle, a kind of Aero-assisted Orbit Transfer vehicle, adopts aero-assisted technique to reduce fuel consumption, which benefits the improvement of the aircraft maneuvering ability and meets the high demand of stand-by time in orbits. For the aero-glide technique to change orbits, the coplanar and non-coplanar task profiles are proposed in this paper. By means of trajectory optimization, the influences of destructive characteristics parameters on orbit performance and trajectory parameters are analyzed, which puts forward reasonable proposals on aerodynamic shape design.In this paper, based on the direct collocation method, the automatic mesh refinement algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal trajectory problem with sequential quadratic p rogramming. The dynamics models of aero-assisted section are built respectively for the coplanar and non-coplanar profiles. Different parameters of destructive characteristics ar e designed, whose influences on the trajectory optimization are observed. The simulation result shows that the chosen parameters in a larger range can complete the typical aero-gl ide maneuver mission and the demanded speed increment is insensitive to the fluctuation of chosen parameters under the given restriction of the stagnation point heat and normal overload. Considering the practical need, the suggestions for aerodynamic design are giv en. For coplanar orbital transfer, the most effective method is to reduce vehicle mass area ratio, and improve the maximum lift coefficient. For non-coplanar orbital transfer, the m ost effective method is to reduce vehicle mass area ratio, and improve the zero-lift drag c oefficient and maximum lift-to-drag ratio. Compared with the double pulse orbit transfer,the aero-assisted Orbit Transfer can greatly reduce fuel consumption, increase the payloa d and improve the ability of maneuver.
