In recent years, with the development of 3D laser scanning technology, it has been widely used in all walks of life. With the construction of rail transit project, more and more tunnel project is started. For cross section measurement and overbreak in tunnel engineering and excavated volume measurement calculation is very important, In the past profiler, total station often is often used, but they need a lot of time and manpower. Apply 3D laser scanner technology into tunnel engineering and construct a three dimensional model, the accuracy and efficiency are greatly ascend. Based on the application of 3 d laser scanner in tunnel engineering, This article mainly studied the problems of tunnel measuring point cloud registration.(1)Studied and analyzed the calibration method of scanning before work; According to the tunnel three-dimensional measuring main factor affected the accuracy of scanning operation, puts forward the measures to reduce the error of scanning, to study and put forward the tunnel 3D scanning station layout optimization method; Also analyzed the influence of cavity environment, weather and other factors to 3D scanning progress.(2) Studies the method of enhancing the registration precision of cloud data in workspace such as in tunnel narrow space and in the complex environment during the construction. Eight kinds of point cloud registration scheme is designed, and one by one to calculate To verify the registration method based on global control superiority in point cloud registration.(3) Put forward the technology solutions of the 3D laser scanning technology applied in tunnel engineering. Combined with specific engineering three-dimensional model diagram is established, and the quantity of overbreak, owe to dig, excavated volume is calculated to Verify the tunnel engineering of 3D laser scanner measurement is feasible.
