High-speed development of electronic science and technology enlarges diversity requirements for testing instruments. Multi-function and redefinable modular instruments have become one of the research hotspots. FMC(FPGA Mezzanine Card)-based testing system promotes development of modular instrument. This system has characteristics that strong compatibility, varied modules, complicated interface, which requires high-quality interface management and software system design. For an FMC Analog I/O module testing system, this dissertation designs the modules interface management, develops modules instrument driver and user application.FMC interface management runs on a Xilinx embedded soft core MicroBlaze, and uses the GPIO, IIC, SPI bus IP core to communicate with different FMC daughter cards. Since the diversity of FMC daughter cards with model numbers, the function of module identification is necessary. For it’s easy to copy logic design illegally in FPGAs SRAM based, the dissertation proposes an encryption authentication method which combining the SHA-1 algorithm and Challeng-Response mechanism. Besides, temperature and voltage real-time monitoring, hardware information inspecting, working clock configuration are also parts of FMC interface management. To comprehensively control the work of FMC Analog I/O modules testing system, FMC Demo application must be closely linked to the design of hardware. By the software requirements analysis, its layout, thread process and program for each module are designed in virtual instrument tool LabVIEW. According to FMC daughter cards’ functions, signal acquisition and signal generation are both presented. Finally, the dissertation verifies all its function design by testing, experiment results prove the effectiveness and practicability of design.
