In recent years, with the rapid development of electronic signal fields, more situations of electronic signals superimposed and the electronic environment became more and more complex. The new analyzer should capture the complex signals, clarify them without missing the transient or other special signals. Thus a new broadband signal analyzer is invented to full fill those requirements. Due to the various reasons, the function of an instrument based on its hardware is very limited that many of them are supplymented by the software system. Generally speaking, the system performance is determined by the hardware, but the function of the instrument and the operability is decided by software. Therefore the research designs the software of the broadband signal analyzer.The main content of this study for broadband signal analyzer will be show as follows.Firstly, to find out the shortages of analyzer software, we analysised the function and performance of the software and put forward the demands of function and performance. After that, the overall functional framework and the basic function module were announced in this paper. Secondly, the function modules were carried out step by step by encoding. In the progressing of encoding, we performed many white-box tests. After all the software testing, functional black-box tests were performed.The software designed in this paper is different from the existing domestic version in several aspects: first, style innovation, we adopted the Ribbon and used the floating menu instead of the side menu; second, the function of mapping the fluorescence spectrum diagram was added; third, the more convenient and powerful custom multi-view display function was implemented. In addition, the modules of indicator and hardware driving in the software can be further developed easily. The module analysis of the software can not only improve the efficiency of software development, but also reduce maintenance costs and simplify further coding work. After the aforementioned tests, the new software system shows its powfull, convenience and stable qualities that making it a good example of the same stlye softwares.The black box testing and the white box testing for the broadband signal analyzer are also performed. The results show that the software is reasonably designed to be controlled quit easily and work very well. It can satisfy all the requirement of the task.
